im an adult and im never going back to 18+ docks, i used to sit there to get recruited to regiments back when most of them were there and it was nearly insufferable, nothing but ragebaiters and people arguing over dream smp or systems or whatever, im so glad most regiments arent there anymore i did not want to sit there and get drowned by the most toxic and meaningless negativity. i dont know if its still like that but i don't wanna go back to check either

im in the regiment sphere. ive been in it since i joined the game back in 2021. ive joined countless patrols, marches, regiments, scouts, species, staff teams. and i dont think i ever had a year that felt positive in this community. people always talk about early regiment era as a heaven but be so fr. ive heard of drama that goes back years, often petty, but theres some horrible oddballs too. hell - the first regiment i joined had a pedophile running it. regiments were so strict youd even do the small thing as miclick and get your points deducted and youd get demoted. scouts are filled to the brim with useless drama and horrible peopel claiming to be "non-toxic". and species... i dont understand the concpet of the closed species on this game. or anywhere actually but thats besides the point. normal species are.. fine. as long as weird ass people arent in charge. this place has been HELL for long and as much as i want to leave i dont want to. the regiment community has helped me with being more outgoing and overcome some social fears. i'm horrible at making friends unless there's a shared interest and ill take the shared interest of a pixel pony game over finding non toxic people on games like valorant or league. speaking of PIXELS in a PONY GAME. tt/td. i have never understood their concept since 2021 when it started to come out. whats. the point?? it's pixels on your screen, please. if someone is bothering you you can just hide them now! revolutionary! why are you seeking a problem from NOTHING???? besides, you could ALWAYS leave the game and change skins to disguise yourself if you didnt want someone to harass you. and im not saying all these things lightly because i do struggle with physical touch. people are mad uneducated about what proshipping is and get so mad when told otherwise. the whole concept of proshipping is being FOR the ability to express yourself through shipping, to ship and let ship. it is a stance on letting people have freedom through fiction. with this stance you are allowed to find things uncomfortable, but it is a case of not harassing and becoming aggressive with a person for it. and honestly, anyone going on about the """damages""" "proshipping" (they mean dark/comshipping in this case) does literally js took it from some 14 year old spouting nonsense on tiktok. you'll find that absolutely NO. QUALIFIED. PROFESSIONAL. in the psychology field will find darkshipping and the like strange, damaging or immoral because it's completely normal for a human to explore dark themes. in fact they will encourage it because thats how you stimulate your brain and as such develop more empathy and/or cope through previous situations. because frankly? fictional characters are nothing but dolls to play with, they do not depict anything BUT an expression of emotion and no fictional character will ever thank you for """protecting them""" from a group of people that literally cannot do them any harm. the attraction for fictional characters is completely separate from ones own morals as it is not a "substitute" for anything. and actually, people somehow understand this when a lesbian yumes a male character, but the moment someone sees something they dislike its an end all and be all. there are plenty studies, surveys, professionals opinions, books etc. showing the lack of negative effect on being pro/dark/comship, but even when you provide it suddenly youre the problem because there's a mass hate wagon on "proshipping" and everyone's too scared to stand up and start thinking for themselves. you dont want proof, you just want to stay ignorant.

it's weird to me that sharing your irl name, age, and images of your face online are so normal now and everyone does it. when i was younger i was told specifically not to share any of that information, and now everyone's age is in their bio, they use their irl name as their username, and you can get to their tiktok in 3 clicks to see their face and a full tour of their house. i am an adult and i do not share my exact age online, and i don't think i'm weird for that. i am not a creep, i am not being weird, i just value my privacy and was taught basic internet safety, i wish nobody else felt so pressured to share that information these days it is liteally not anyone else's business and you should prioritize being safe
